2. Entries

The awards are open to anyone who is a registered member of The Scrapbook Awards. Professional photographers and designers are legible to enter any competition held within this site. All submitted images must be in a digital format and entered online at www.scrapbookawards.com. Entries will not be accepted on on CD or DVD. There is no limit to the number of entries entered into current categories. However, the same image cannot be entered more than once. Prints are not permitted. No allowances will be made for poor-quality uploads resulting in low resolution viewing.

Judges or employees of The Scrapbook Awards are not allowed to enter.

3. Digital guidelines - Format

All entries must be JPG format, no more than 1mb in size. Pixel width must be between 700 pixels and 1000 pixels for optimum onscreen viewing. No allowances will be made for files uploaded outside these guidelines. No refund will be granted for poor resolution images being uploaded and entered.

4. Copyright

You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright for all images entered and used on your pages. By entering your designs into these awards, you grant The Scrapbook Awards full license to reproduce the images, without compensation, for any purpose (with credit where possible) including, but not limited to, the following:

• judging the competition and display of the winning entries on websites and other promotional material
• inclusion within the Scrapbook Awards brochures/journals, websites, printed and or electronic advertising, promotions and editorial publicity or similar.
• inclusion within promotion of the competition(s) organized by The Scrapbook Awards

5. Subjects

If for any reason any of the administrators from The Scrapbook Awards decide an entry not appropriate for display it will be disqualified and will not be displayed. If cruel or unethical or illegal practices are suspected by the administrators or any of the judges, the entry will be disqualified. Any designs reported to The Scrapbook Awards will be examined and deleted if inappropriate work has been submitted. All decisions made by the administration of The Scrapbook Awards are final and no credit refund will be granted.

6. Other Competitions

Any design that has already won a prize (winner only) in a major competition is not eligible for entry.

7. The Judging

7.1 Judges will be appointed by The Scrapbook Awards. The Scrapbook Awards administrations decision on all matters relating to the awards is final, and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition’s judging and organization. Should the quality of entries fall below the standard required, the Owners reserve the right not to award prizes.

7.2 Once a competition has closed all winners will be decided within 2 weeks of the advertised closing date. Winners will be notified by email from The Scrapbook Awards. No notification or judgment will be sent in regards to other entries.

8. Members

All members must be over the age of 16 years old. Each member is only permitted to have one profile and therefore cannot use an alias. Any person(s) who are found to have more than one membership will be expelled from any competition and will lose all remaining credits. 

9. Payments

 All payments to The Scrapbook Awards are final and non-refundable. Credit prices for entries are subject to change without notification.

10. Cancellations

10.1  The Scrapbook Awards reserves the right to modify or cancel a competition should circumstances deem it necessary (for example but not limited to: a compelling legal or technical reason). In the case of such a cancellation, The Scrapbook Awards will make reasonable attempts to communicate to members in reasonable time via email and through scrapbookawards.com website.

10.2  In the event of a cancellation, no indemnity or compensation will be given to the members. Where you have paid for credits through PayPal, your entries for a cancelled Scrapbook Awards competition will be refunded in full by means of replacement credits only. No cash is given as compensation. The Scrapbook Awards takes no other responsibility for costs incurred.

11. Prizes

11.1  Scrapbook Awards cannot guarantee that the prizes advertised will be the prizes received. If we can't provide the prize as described, we will substitute it for a similar prize of the same value, at our discretion (for example a discontinued line from a camera supplier). Please check our website for updates during the course of the competitions.

11.2  Whilst The Scrapbook Awards will make every effort to deliver your prize to you we will not be held responsible in the event of a prize becoming lost in the post.

11.3 Prizes must be claimed in person unless the winner is otherwise advised.

11.4 Prizes are not refundable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

11.5 In the event of a tie (2 entries receiving the same number of vote) both entries will be awarded the People's Choice Award

12. Competition Agreement

When you enter a Scrapbook Awards Competition  you agree to enter into a release with The Scrapbook Awards in relation to your Competition Entry by agreeing:

1. that you have read these Terms and Conditions and that you understand and accept them;.
2. that you have not granted any other person any rights that conflict with the license granted above;
3. that you are not under any contractual or other obligations preventing you from entering into this release with Scrapbook Awards
4. that you have received all necessary permissions and consents required to make the Entry and for Scrapbook Awards to use it;
5. that no third party owns any copyright or other rights in your Entry and has no right or interest in it;
6. to indemnify and continue to indemnify Scrapbook Awards against any claim for and breach of copyright arising from your entry

13. Confidentiality & Privacy

1. Any communication or material, including without limitation, any data, questions, comments and suggestions that you transmit to, upload or post on to or any public area of this site will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary information unless otherwise stated by Scrapbook Awards. We reserve the right to remove without notice any material posted in any public area of the site.
2. When you register or sign up to a Scrapbook Awards Competition,, Scrapbook Awards may ask you for certain information and you may submit personal data to Scrapbook Awards (including your name, postal address, email address and other personal details). Scrapbook Awards may also record which events and competitions you participate and are interested in. Scrapbook Awards makes a commitment to protecting your privacy and agrees only to use such information in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
3. If you have any questions about privacy or the Scrapbook Awards Privacy Policy, or if you have already submitted information that you do not wish us to have or is incorrect, or if you think that Scrapbook Awards has data about you that you do not want us to use please contact us via email

14. Liability

14.1  The Scrapbook Awards does not guarantee that the facilities and functions of the www.scrapbookawards.com  will be free from error or uninterrupted, that the site or the server that makes them available to you are free of viruses or bugs, that defects will be corrected, or that the content on The Scrapbook Awards Websites is accurate or complete.

14.2 You agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Scrapbook Awards excludes liability for any loss or damage of any kind howsoever arising, including without limitation any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss whether or not such loss arises out of any problem you notify to Scrapbook Awards and Scrapbook Awards shall have no liability to pay any money by way of compensation, including without limitation all liability in relation to the infringement by any person of any intellectual property rights of any third parties caused by their participation in a Scrapbook Awards Competition;

          14.2.1  Any amount or kind of loss or damage due to viruses or other malicious software that may infect your camera or computer equipment, software, data or other property     caused by handling of your camera or computer equipment, transmissions via email or attachments received from Scrapbook Awards;

          14.2.2  The availability, quality, content or nature of sites or services on the internet that are owned or operated by third parties to which the Scrapbook Awards Websites link and sites or services located on or through any third party sites, or any transactions involving third party sites; and

          14.2.3  All representations, warranties, conditions and other terms which but for this notice would have effect.

14.3  These terms above shall not limit any rights you might have as a consumer that may not be excluded under applicable law, nor shall they exclude or limit Scrapbook Awards’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence, nor its liability for any fraudulent representation
